First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bupa.
Actuarial
After submitting an online application, there was a video interview. The final stage was an assessment centre, which included a presentation on motivations and understanding of actuarial functions, a personal interview, and a group assessment that was like an escape room.
- Why are you interested in Bupa and this program?
Actuarial Analyst
I applied for a 12-month Actuarial Analyst placement at Bupa. First, I filled out the application. Then, I got invited to do an online assessment, which included two psychometric tests and a numerical test. It took them about a month to get back to me, and then another three weeks to set up an interview. I had a live video interview with Praveen, who was really nice and made me feel at ease. I still have to do a virtual assessment centre.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Describe a challenging experience and what motivated you to persist.
- How did you react when faced with a sudden change in process or requirements?
Actuarial Analyst
It was a smooth and peaceful interview. Mostly technical questions were asked since it was a one-on-one with the actuarial manager. Overall, a very good experience, although the offered salary might be below market average.
- Are you familiar with IFRS?
- Do you have knowledge of SQL?
- Do you understand GI reserving?
