Behavioral Presentation

I applied online and then had to do a HireVue asynchronous interview. All the questions were behavioral, and I could connect my past experiences to them. After that, I was invited to a panel interview with an HR rep and two tech employees. I really liked the conversation; I got to think about my growth as an engineer and share how I could fit into the company's current direction. It seems like a really good company with great people and a lot of growth potential.

It kicked off with a phone interview, then I was invited back for an in-person meeting with a panel of 6 people who asked a bunch of situational/behavioral questions for about an hour. Then they had me come back to job shadow and meet with a VP of the department, and they started asking more questions. It was a pretty long and kinda intimidating process sometimes. I was really bummed I didn't get the job given the positive feedback and being asked back to 'shadow,' which wasn't part of the usual interview stuff.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was quick and easy. I applied a few weeks prior and was surprised to be contacted after some time had passed. After a couple of emails asking if I was still interested, I confirmed and set up a phone call. That went well, and I was soon scheduled for an in-person interview. When I arrived, I met with the hiring manager and an HR representative. It was a relaxed atmosphere with typical interview questions about my experience, skills, and behaviors. After the interview, I was asked to shadow a current CSR to get a feel for the job. They mentioned they don't usually do this and that it suggested I was their top candidate. Then, I met with the main manager for the department and had another casual interview. Once he was happy with my responses and I felt I had the information I needed, we finished. The entire process took about 3 hours, and I was very confident about getting the job, especially after they called me their top candidate. However, over a week later, I was told they hired someone else, which was pretty frustrating.

The interview process included a few rounds. We started with a phone screening, then had a phone interview, followed by an onsite meeting with HR and the Hiring Manager. The final stage was an onsite with several sessions where I met with people from different departments. Even though it took a while, the role was new and the discussions were relevant. It made me feel like the position was important and they were taking the right amount of time to find the right person.
