This whole process felt like a circus. The interviewers were really trying to assert dominance with their questions. They asked some really obscure, theoretical stuff that you just don't run into as a Java or Kotlin dev. And even when you were trying to answer, they kept cutting you off.

The first stage is a 15-minute phone call. The person I spoke to seemed distracted and would pause for a long time after I answered their questions before responding. The way that they described their interview process after the first interview, it's fully double the norm for a non-Big Tech company, which is pretty excessive.
