First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Buffini & Company.
Human Resources Generalist
You begin by submitting an application online. A review of your resume is done to check if you meet the qualifications. Then, the first interview is with someone from Human Resources. After that, the second interview is with the department manager. The third interview will be with the director. If you are selected, Human Resources will contact you with the offer, and you'll need to sign an offer letter through DocuSign. Candidates who don't make it through the interviews will get a rejection letter.

Events Specialist
I went through 4 interviews for a mid-level position. The process was pretty straightforward. It started with a phone screen, then I had 3 separate Zoom interviews with different employees. I wasn't totally sure how they'd all fit with this role. I gave them my references, but they told me I didn't get the job before some of them were even contacted, which made me think they'd already decided before checking references.
- Can you share your past experience relevant to this role?
- What is your approach to management?
- Details about event logistics and managing challenging scenarios?
Business Coach
It was a three-round interview process. The first was an electronic phone interview with about 5 questions. Then, the second interview was with one of the 4 head coaches. It lasted about 12 minutes and then he asked me if I had any questions for him. This took us to 30 min. They also give you an opportunity to ask them questions, so have some ready! The third interview was with two people, a different head coach and a head of HR. They tag-teamed and asked more challenging questions based on my answers. All interviews were very personable, upbeat, and nice. It took 2 weeks to find out if I made the cut after the third interview. My advice is to do your homework and practice interviewing. I used STAR statements and got straight to the point when I answered. Follow up with thank you letters. The biggest thing I recommend is to find someone to refer you in. This is my 3rd time applying and I feel like I got to interview because I found someone on the inside due to my network. I wrote a letter and sent it out to family, friends, professors, etc. I made the cut! Good luck! Preparedness meets opportunity!
- What does being coachable mean to you?
Coaching Administrative Assistant
I went through three rounds of interviews and then got a rejection email. After the second interview but before the third one, I was given a pretty long Coaching Administrative Assignment with a bunch of detailed questions. I had to talk about different scenarios, how I'd deal with them, give examples of emails, and share past experiences. I spent a lot of hours on it, it ended up being 13 pages, and I tried to be super thorough. But during the third interview with three people, they didn't even bring up the assignment or ask about it. One person even asked a question that was basically the same as one on the assignment. When I asked if they'd looked at it, they said no. It was a bummer that all that work on the assignment seemed to be for nothing.
- How would you describe your work style?
