First, you need to fill out an online application where you upload your resume (CV, cover letter), provide work experience and education details, and answer questions like why BT and why this specific position. Then there's a Situational Strengths Test that takes about 20-25 minutes. If you pass that, you get a Skype interview, but I didn't make it past this stage. I was told the next steps would involve a programming challenge to be completed in 7 days and an on-site assessment. The overall process seems logical and fair, but I really disliked the feedback I got after being rejected – basically no feedback at all. I put hours into my CV, cover letter, interview prep, company research, the application form, and the interview itself. I feel like I deserved more personal feedback than just 'we reject you because you're not good enough or we've filled our needs.' It was disappointing.

I had a video interview over Skype in November with a staff member. Everything went well and I prepared a lot. I know other people from my course had it too and said it was okay, but harder than many similar ones.

Applied online with some questions and CV. Passed that to online tests (math, logic). Then had a phone interview. This part was bad, interviewer sounded like a robot, no interaction. He couldn't answer my questions and didn't know when I'd hear about the Assessment Centre. BT sent repeated emails for two weeks, then apologized for it, then stopped communicating. After about 6 weeks, I got a positive response and was invited to the Assessment Centre in less than a week, which is tough for people travelling from abroad. I wasn't interested anymore and declined. A week later, they emailed saying sorry, I wasn't invited to the Assessment Centre. Their communication is terrible for a telecom company.
