& Process

It was a really straightforward and pleasant interview experience. Started with a single phone call, then I went in for an in-person meeting. I met with a Sales Director and we talked about my past experience, what I aim for, and what I'm looking for. I got the offer right after.

The interview process was virtual and felt pretty laid back and informal. The interviewer was really nice and made me feel welcome. The second round was in person, held at a restaurant. It was also very laid back and informal. The company seems great to work with and has a wide reach.

I applied via LinkedIn and their site. A recruiter called me about a week later, then I had a video call with the hiring manager a week after that. She thought my experience was a great fit and talked about team expansion and my role. I sent a thank-you email and they said they wanted me to move forward to interview with the GM and then the CMO. I met the GM via video call about 2 weeks later. This interview went poorly; he seemed distracted and unprepared, making me lead the conversation and ask questions. He also shared a different vision for the department than the hiring manager did. He vaguely mentioned talking to the CMO next. I emailed him and the recruiter afterward, still expressing excitement, but heard nothing. Over the next month, I emailed the recruiter four times and called once for an update, as I had another offer pending. The hiring manager was CC'd on some emails and had told me to reach out if I didn't get updates. I still haven't heard back from anyone at BSN. The job post remained online for a couple more months and has since been removed. It seems no one has the title I interviewed for and no other core marketing roles have been posted. I have no idea what happened because they refused to communicate, which was unprofessional and rude. I can understand ghosting if I were one of many applicants after a bad first round, but I made it through three rounds with a small group of candidates, yet received zero communication. It reflects poorly on BSN. I advise others to avoid this company that wastes your time.

The interview process was well-organized, clear, and interesting throughout. Every conversation felt like it had a purpose, and the interviewers were great at explaining what they were looking for, what the company is like, and what the job entails. They made it feel comfortable and encouraged us to talk honestly about our skills, what we've done, and if we'd be a good fit long-term.
