Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brunswick Group.
Associate
This was an awful interview experience. Of all the companies I interviewed with, Brunswick was the worst. The communication was poor, with weeks passing between interviews or any updates. After going through the whole process, they told me any salary would be much lower than initially discussed. In the end, after 3 separate on-site interviews and multiple final virtual conversations, I was ghosted. I was really taken aback by the lack of professionalism. It seems like there are good people at the firm, but the recruiting process is laughable.
- Do you have any concerns about joining this company?
- Have you looked into other financial communications firms?
Associate
We had a chat at a job fair, it was super chill. Then they invited me for another Skype call with their Berlin office. I set up the call with help from an office assistant. The associate called late, and we got straight to it. It was a really tough interview. Throughout the process, there were delays with deadlines.
- How would you change Deutsche Bank's communication strategy, considering the current scandal?
Associate
I chatted with some junior folks and then several senior people. The whole thing felt really personal, like they were very involved. They asked about why I want to work here, what I'm good at, and my project management and research skills. They also wanted to see how I'd make judgments and handle sensitive info. Definitely look into this private company's network and how they all connect, it's a tight group. What people say about you, good or bad, really matters.
- How would you manage a crisis communication scenario?
- Share a significant professional experience and explain its impact.
- Which current events are you following, and how has your viewpoint evolved?
