Started with a typical HR interview focusing on my motivations for the role and my background. Then, there was a second round with a timed media monitoring task to assess my reading and reporting abilities.

I applied online or got referred, and the first interview was with recruiting. They were friendly and clear about the job requirements. Next, I had a 2-hour writing test with grammar corrections and a press release/memo writing part. Then I had 3 more rounds with 4 people from Account Exec to Director level. This part felt repetitive with similar questions and I didn't feel a fit. They asked a lot of behavioral questions. One Director really drilled me on Brunswick and strategic comms. I think Brunswick is for people with an IB mindset, like WSJ/Economist fans. They want to know your financial news knowledge, so be ready to talk about a specific M&A deal or crisis like BP or Volkswagen intimately. The back-to-back interviews were too redundant.

Met with everyone on the team individually. It took a while, but it was a good way to get to know the people I'd be working with.
