The interview process was virtual, like for everyone else. I haven't heard back for a few weeks, though. Their process feels very automated and impersonal; you submit your application, get an automatic email, then do a virtual interview, and then... silence. You can't even check your application status, so I'm assuming I didn't get the job since there's been no response.

I applied online and heard back about a month later. First, I had a 30-minute phone call with HR to go over some basic questions about why I'm applying and if I'm a good fit – no technical stuff. About two days after that, the hiring managers wanted me to come in for a face-to-face interview. It was a panel interview with two groups of upper management/engineers, each spending about 50 minutes with me, and a 5-minute overlap where all four were there. It was pretty draining but not super hard. My impression was they really wanted to check if I'd fit the company culture and if my skills and goals matched the job and company. Overall, it was a good experience, and they were really good about communicating and letting me know where I stood, not making me wait long for results.

I was initially contacted by a former colleague, now a senior-level manager in another state. He flew in for my interview, and my potential supervisor also traveled from another office within the state. Since I was familiar with the client and they knew I could do the job, the process was quite informal. We discussed career aspirations and job expectations. About an hour into the discussions, the three of us, along with the location manager for the office where I'd be based, went out for lunch. The lunch conversation was very relaxed and friendly.
