I interviewed for a new store that hadn't opened yet. About two months after I applied, they reached out for an interview, and the whole thing took about a month. First, I had a phone interview with the Talent Acquisition Manager. Then, I took a skills and personality test online, with about 100 questions, roughly a third of which were math word problems. After that, I had another phone interview with the District Manager, followed by one with the Regional HR Supervisor. Next, I had to take a drug test, and then met the DM for a casual in-person chat. After that, I met with the person who got the Store Manager job for another informal chat to make sure we'd work well together. Finally, I was offered the job. Everyone was really nice and professional the whole time. They told me exactly what to expect upfront, and it was like that for every step. They were super flexible with my schedule and really open about everything, answering all my questions thoroughly. I was really impressed with how detailed, complete, professional, and respectful they were.

Behavioral Technical

It was very behavioral, more than experience-based, they asked about leadership and operations skills. Many situational questions were asked. There were two rounds. The total length was about an hour and a half. I was contacted via LinkedIn. I was hired immediately with a permanent contract. I met with HR, the CEO, and the retail manager.

It was a really long process for a Store Manager role. Here is how it went down. I was already working for another retailer when they reached out. First, I met with the District Manager. Then, I had a phone interview with a People Manager (still not sure what that role is). After that, I interviewed with that People Manager's boss. Finally, I interviewed with the VP.
