I applied online and got a referral from campus. First, I had a recruiter call, then a 60-minute technical interview that covered data structures and basic system design. They got back to me quickly with decisions within a week. The interviewers were nice and worked with me, asking questions to understand my answers better and letting me talk through different options. It was a pretty straightforward process with questions that felt like they were from actual projects.

Technical Coding Coding Coding

The recruitment process for this role at Broadridge began with an online assessment. This assessment tested aptitude, networking knowledge, and OOP concepts, but did not include any actual coding questions. Following that, in the interview, I was asked some basic questions. For example, I had to explain what a constructor in Java is and describe multithreading. After the conceptual questions, there were two coding tasks. The first was to print a sequence, and the second was to find repeating letters in my name and count them. To wrap things up, I was asked a few SQL queries.

Confirmed questions6 questions
  • Could you explain what constructors are?
  • What is multithreading and can you describe it?
  • There were two coding questions; the first was to print a sequence.

Technical Behavioral

There were 4 interview rounds in total. The first round went smoothly, with a cooperative interviewer and no issues on my end. The second round, a technical interview with a product manager, was a very negative experience. The interviewer was consistently late (10-15 minutes) and, near the end of the session, claimed my bandwidth was poor and questioned how HR selected me, pointing out my job hopping (3 companies in 4 years). I explained my reasons, but he was dismissive. This pattern repeated despite rescheduling three times. It felt like a waste of time if he wasn't interested.

  • What are your thoughts on Spring?
  • Can you explain Spring Boot?
