Broadridge held a walk-in interview event as if they had many openings, but it was actually a first screening round. They told me HR would contact me. Four days later, they called me back for more interview rounds during the week. I cleared two rounds that day, and again they said HR would be in touch. A week later, they called for another round. I thought it might be the HR round, but it turned out to be a stress interview with irrelevant questions. I applied for a testing position but they asked developer questions. I'm not sure why they even had a walk-in. After three technical rounds, the fourth round had irrelevant questions, and then they never contacted me again.

They asked me about manual and automation testing. The interview went well, but during the technical discussion, they asked about my expected package. I questioned if it was a technical interview or a package discussion, and then refused to provide a number. They accepted this. After two days, I contacted the recruiter for an update. They said they would get back to me. I called again after two more days, but there was no response. I called several more times with no reply. It's fine to reject candidates, but some constructive feedback would be helpful for improvement.

It was a typical QA interview, covering the SDLC. There were also some specific questions about the trade lifecycle, FIX protocol, and testing in real-time trading environments. I then had a round with a QA lead and a product manager, focusing more on my communication skills, how I prioritize bugs under pressure, and my experience with developers and traders. The whole thing took about 2-3 weeks and covered technical, domain knowledge, and soft skills. Everyone was professional and knew their stuff.
