First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Broadly.
Account Executive
So, the interview process involved a phone screen with the recruiter first, then another phone screen with management. After that, I had some in-person meetings with the team. What really struck me was how well-thought-out the whole process was. I've worked for some big internet companies before, but I've never seen an interview process as upfront and clear as this one. Broadly is pretty selective about who they hire, and you could really feel that attention to detail. It's not in an arrogant way, but more like they genuinely value hiring kind, smart, and honest people, and they show that same care in how they conduct interviews.
- Describe how you would explain Broadly's value proposition in under 30 seconds to a customer who isn't very tech-savvy.
Account Executive
Broadly has an interview process that mirrors their values, people, and culture. The interview process was a fast two weeks with quick responses, great communication, and transparency. The people, interviews, and communication were highly positive, enjoyable, and energetic and such a great experience. The process was Recruiter interview #1 (phone), VP of Sales interview #2 (phone), Candidate response, and then 3 hour in person meet with the Broadly team that consisted of four 30 minute interviews plus a 30 minute Happy Hour to meet the full team. My suggestions when interviewing with Broadly is to be accountable to communicate and move quickly, “be authentic” know the role and know yourself.
- Is this a great fit for all parties (business partners, company, team, and self)? Am I ready to take the action needed daily to excel and create the impact needed for all parties?
Account Executive
The interview process was quick overall. First, there's a phone screening with a Senior Recruiter who asks basic questions. After that, you need to record a voicemail of yourself cold calling to sell a product or service and fill out an online personality test. If you pass those, you'll have an in-person interview with four people. Most interviewers will ask standard sales questions, but one person asked me unrelated questions based on a past job I had. They're really trying to see if you'd be a good fit for the company and if the company is a good fit for you. It was okay, but some of the interviewers were a bit discouraging, saying things like 'This job is hard, like really hard, you will hate yourself most days.'
- What motivates you to want to pursue a career in technology sales?
