Software Engineer
The interview process for this role is quite extensive, involving seven distinct rounds. It begins with a recruiter screen lasting about 20 minutes, followed by a one-hour interview with the hiring manager. Next, candidates are expected to complete a take-home assignment estimated to take 4-5 hours. After that, there's a one-hour technical interview, a 30-minute design interview, and a 30-minute leadership interview. If you successfully navigate these stages, the final round is a 30-minute meeting with the rest of the team. In my case, the leadership decided the position wasn't a good business fit before the team meeting, making that last interview unnecessary and a waste of time for everyone involved.

Data Scientist
I applied for this internship in mid-February and got a data science coding challenge about three weeks later. It was open for a week and involved basic data science concepts about occurrence frequency and making time-based predictions. I was rejected and tried to get feedback on my submission, but never got a reply. I was confident I completed all three tasks and the assignment stated partial solutions would be evaluated. Don't waste your time with them as they won't spend any time with you. Look elsewhere for a summer internship, probably a bigger company with a competent HR department.

Sales Support Representative
First, I had a phone screen with HR, Candice, who was super friendly and easy to chat with. Then, I spoke with my potential direct supervisor over the phone. That call was pretty standard, just asking about my experience. After that, I went onsite for an interview with the supervisor and the VP. We discussed my background, my vision for the future, and my knowledge of Brivo. Finally, I had a phone call with the COO, which involved some basic questions and was also very conversational. It was a really positive experience overall, especially since I hadn't interviewed in over four years. Even though I decided not to take the job, I'd still recommend the company because it seemed like a great place to work.

Account Executive
After an initial chat with HR, I was told I'd need to complete a sales assessment test to advance. It was supposed to take 45 minutes, but ended up taking an hour and a half. I'm not convinced this assessment actually tests sales skills or asks relevant questions; it felt more like a generic task to filter candidates. My advice is to only do this if you're invited to speak with the hiring manager. It was a truly frustrating and time-wasting assessment.
