Customer Service Representative
it was a quick and smooth interview, and I felt at ease. The interviewer asked about my experience and why I wanted the job. I felt like they really listened to my answers, and the recruiter took the time to hear them. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Can you describe a time you had to deal with a problem?
Customer Service Representative
This job is demanding and involves upselling, which is great if that's what you're looking for, but they didn't make that clear during the interview.
- Can you describe your prior experience in customer service?
- Would you be interested in performing upselling as part of your role?
Customer Service Representative
The initial phone interview was quite simple. It involved a few questions about me, a brief overview of my resume, and an explanation of the interview stages and what to expect. After that, I had my main interview, which was a very straightforward competency-based interview. The interviewers were friendly and helpful, giving me time to think and clarifying questions when I didn't understand the wording. They suggested using the STAR method and preparing some scenarios beforehand. Following the competency questions, there was a role-play scenario. I was given a fictional customer account with a hold that still incurred a late fee, and I had complete freedom to manage the situation. As long as the resolution stayed within the company's core values, such as showing empathy and being willing to waive fees if appropriate, it should be fine.
- Can you share an instance where you provided outstanding customer service?
- Describe a time you solved a problem in a unique way.
- Tell me about a situation where you exceeded expectations for a customer.
