So, to start, there are two little problems that you gotta solve before you get to the main coding test. This part involves building a small but kind of tricky website. You'll have to do stuff like backend work, which includes designing the database, coding the API, and testing it. Then there's the frontend side, like designing the UI and making sure forms validate and submit correctly. You also need to use version control and deploy it. It's a pretty cool and satisfying test, honestly, and it really makes you show off the skills you'd actually use here at BriteCore.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you discuss your approach to the submitted code?
  • Tell us a bit about yourself.
  • Could you share details about your past work experiences?

I applied online to BriteCore and was asked to do a coding test which was a full-stack solution with a REST API backend and a Javascript frontend. I put a lot of effort into it, using TDD, documenting it, and deploying it to AWS. They said I did a good job. Then I had a group video interview on Skype with several people including developers, QA, and a UX designer. It was late for me and tiring, but I felt I answered all questions honestly. I even sent a thank you email the next day. However, I never heard back from them and got no feedback, which was disappointing after all my work.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you discuss software development methodologies such as SCRUM and Agile?
  • Explain your understanding of continuous integration and delivery.
  • Some high-level technical questions will be asked.

I applied online and had to complete a hiring project that involved api implementation, unit testing, and deployment. About 6 weeks after submitting my application, I was contacted to set up an online interview with two senior folks from BriteCore. It was about an hour long, and I got an offer pretty quickly after that.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • The interview was a good chat where we got to know each other.
  • There were only a few technical questions, and they reviewed my project.
  • Be ready to answer questions and also to ask your own.
