First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brio Tuscan Grille.
Manager
First, you create an online profile or upload your resume. Then, there's a phone interview with HR that's detailed and formal, asking pretty basic questions, about 30 mins. After that, you have a sit-down interview with the GM (I met two different ones since they weren't sure where I'd fit). This one was more laid-back, focusing on personality and your financial experience, also about 30 mins. Next, you sit down with the District Partner. This interview was also laid-back but got into more detailed questions about your past experience and financials, lasting about 1 hour. Finally, you wait for the offer.
- Can you detail your financial experience?
- Tell me more about your past experience, especially regarding financial matters.
Server
Applied online and got contacted a few days later to schedule an interview. When I came in, I had to fill out a paper application even though I already submitted online. First interviewed with the Assistant General Manager, who was very rude and didn't seem to like me very much. Immediately after, I interviewed with the General Manager, who was actually very nice compared to the Assistant Manager. I was offered the job but declined because the restaurant looked very dirty and unkempt.
- Can you describe what hospitality means to you?
Bartender
It was a new opening, so the process was pretty standard. There were two interviews in total, and I met with the General Manager for one of them. Both interviews were face-to-face. I got an offer right after the second interview.
- What's your experience like?
- What skills do you have?
- How do you handle guest satisfaction?
Host/Hostess
I applied online and a few days later, I got a call. Then I came in for an interview with one manager. A few days after that, I had a second interview with the GM, and they hired me on the spot.
- Could you tell me a little about yourself?
- Can you describe your past work experience?
- What is your availability like?
