Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brinley Consulting.
Account Executive
I got a call from them expressing interest in bringing me in for an interview. The recruiter I spoke with on the phone was super professional. Honestly, she's the reason I came in. I liked how friendly she was and still very to the point. Then I interviewed with Travis. He was down to earth and had a commanding presence. It was fun and at times a little stressful.
- The questions Travis asked were standard, but his follow-up questions were insightful.
- His follow-up questions revealed his analytical and thoughtful nature.
Account Executive
The hiring process typically involves 2-3 interviews, depending on the candidate. My first interview was over the phone due to scheduling constraints. It was with an HR recruiter and focused on my character and management style. After that, I had an in-person interview with the hiring director. This second interview covered questions about my management style and my past personal, professional, and educational experiences, focusing on how they make me a good fit for the role (basically, selling myself). I received an offer within 24 hours of finishing the second interview.
- Can you describe your management style, drawing from your personal, professional, and educational background?
- Tell me about a time you chose to quit something and why.
- When considering a job, how would you prioritize work environment, opportunities for advancement, and compensation?
Account Executive
The interview process was great. The director was friendly and made the interview fun and stress-free. Just know what you want out of life and show them you mean it. They ask questions that are easy to answer if you're honest.
- What value can you bring to improve the company?
- Are you a competitive person?
