Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brinkmann Constructors.
Project Engineer
The interview process seemed to go well. I appreciated that the HR representative was upfront about the candidate needing to relocate for the project, as this is a detail not all applicants are aware of.
- What motivated your decision to enter the construction field?
Project Engineer
HR called me to check my resume and where I lived, then I had a phone interview about the job stuff. After that, I went in person twice to meet with two different directors who wanted to see if I'd vibe with the company culture and if it was a good career move for me.
- What do you think is a challenge in this industry?
Project Engineer
First I had a phone call which was part interview, part initial contact. Then I was invited for an in-person interview. This interview was with the head of HR, not with any engineers. This made it tough to talk about my previous work and how my skills could benefit the company.
- What unique value can you bring to us that other companies cannot?
