Java Developer

- What are the new features introduced in Java 8?
- Can you explain OOM Errors?
- Which annotations from Spring Boot are you familiar with?
Senior Java Developer
It was a 3 step process. First, there was a coding test that was kind of like a medium LeetCode problem. Then, I had a 30-minute interview call with their team in India. Lastly, there was a client interview. I felt I did very well in all three levels, but I haven't received any feedback yet.
- A coding challenge similar to a medium LeetCode problem.
- Asked about older Java concepts like SOAP, XML, and the creation of SOAP services.
- Tasked with solving a problem within the final 10 minutes of the interview.
Java Engineer
I was called for the technical round after a pre-placement talk where a company person gave a presentation. Then the technical round started with about 100 students divided into 4 panels, with each student getting around 45-50 minutes. The interviewer was the same person from the presentation, which made me nervous but also confident because I had another offer. He asked me to be comfortable and started with questions about my projects, including my final year project, and asked me to code some sorting programs. Then he asked about my preferred programming language and some basic programming concepts like memory leakage. After about half an hour, I found out I cleared the technical round and was selected for HR.
- Can you explain the difference between a linked list and an array list?
- Could you describe the collection classes?
- What would you say are your IT strengths and weaknesses?
