Manager
The recruiter was late for the interview, which wasn't a huge deal, but she didn't acknowledge it. She seemed pretty inexperienced with interviewing, maybe new to recruiting. She wasn't very engaging and it felt like she wasn't really listening to my answers; she even asked the same question twice before realizing she'd already asked it. It was a bit disappointing because the job sounded interesting, but it put me off the company overall. This is why I think hiring managers should handle the high-level interviews. Hope they find a good match!

Assistant Manager
This whole thing was ridiculous. I went through 7 interviews with 6 different people, and it dragged on for more than a month. They wanted writing samples, a background check, and 5 references. They offered me $60k for a manager role that had a huge workload, including quotas for me and my team. When I asked for details on these quotas and how they'd be calculated, nobody would give me an answer. I got a verbal offer, and then they just pulled it back. Such a huge waste of my time and their time.
- Tell me about your experience.
- Sell me something right now.
Merchandising Manager
I had some really great meetings with the VP and a consultant. It was a really long process, but the questions were pretty straightforward and aimed at understanding my strategic thinking. The in-office meetings were a bit of a letdown though; the office environment was quite noisy and chaotic, which made them seem unorganized, unlike their showroom.
- Can you explain how to perform a Vlookup?
