First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brightview Senior Living.
Concierge
First, there's a group interview on Zoom with a talent acquisition specialist. After that, you'll have 1-2 interviews with people from the specific community you applied to, which would be your manager and possibly the Executive Director.
- Tell me about a mentor you've had.
Dining Room Server
For most positions at this location, group interviews are typical, but I had a one-on-one interview with the dining director. It was a brief interview where they asked standard questions. Then, I had a second interview with the executive director of the location, who asked similar questions. The entire process, from applying to getting the offer, took a little over two weeks.

Resident Assistant
I applied through the website. First, there was a group interview on Zoom where I had a friendly discussion with one person from Brightview and about 6 other applicants. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview. The interviewer made me feel comfortable, and it felt like a conversation, but I was still asked questions. I was offered the job at the end.
- How would you approach a client with dementia who is refusing help with their Activities of Daily Living?
Activities Assistant
I showed up for a group interview, but I was the only one out of 10 people who did. I had to sign in on a kiosk, but I didn't know who I'd be meeting. I ended up meeting with 3 supervisors. They offered me a part-time weekend role and asked if I wanted to try it out after the holiday weekend to see if I liked it. Then, I got an email saying I needed to be available during the workweek for training. I mentioned I could take vacation from my full-time job, but they replied that it wouldn't work for them and they weren't interested. I'm confused by the outcome.
- What are your working hours?
- Can you work weekends?
- Can you train during the week?
