First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BrightTALK.
Sales Development Representative
It started with a 30-min chat with the Director of Sales Development. Then, I had to create a prospecting voicemail and email. After that, I went to their office for an in-person interview. I met some sales team members and talked to the Director again. Finally, I had one last interview with the VP of Sales.
- How would you go about finding leads?
Sales Development Representative
First, I had a chat with the recruiter, who then set up an in-person interview for me just three days later. That interview involved meeting the head of sales development, the head of HR, and the VP of sales. Since that went well, I was invited back for another round of interviews the following week. In this second round, I did some mock sales calls with the head of sales development, talked to the VP of sales again, and also interviewed with the CMO. After that, they arranged a phone interview with someone who was just starting the next day, thinking it would be good for me to talk to him. Following a few more back-and-forth questions, I was offered the position.
- Standard interview questions were asked, nothing unusual.
Sales Development Representative
First up was a quick call with the recruiter to see if I was a fit. Then I had 3 separate chats with the 2 team leads and the US SDR manager. After those, I had another 2 interviews with the EMEA SDR manager and the VP of Sales. The whole thing spanned about 2 months.
- Tell me about your background and experiences.
- What motivates you in a sales role?
- Why are you interested in this specific position and company?
