Interviews were held at the corporate office with senior staff, followed by a boardroom discussion. There were also good food and evening events to help everyone relax after a long day. The process was very structured and efficient.

I went to Dallas for the Management Trainee role. The time spent with the Briggs employee was great. They were very hospitable to all of us interviewing. You can expect around six interviews or more, scheduled back-to-back, when meeting with the Briggs team for this specific position. While that sounds like a lot of interviews, I liked that Briggs was serious about making sure I was a good fit for them and their culture, and that it was a good fit for me too. This was the most organized interview process I've experienced when traveling for a job. The HR department clearly communicated the timing and duration for every activity, from interviews to group events. I really appreciated that. Their ESOP program is attractive, and you won't find a better retirement plan elsewhere, but the starting salary for this role appears low. I heard it was 45k - 48k. In Dallas, 45k seems quite low considering the high cost of living to be near the office and the need to pay off student loans, which most college grads likely have.

I talked with Briggs after my college career fair, and then went to their corporate office in Dallas. It was a good experience overall. The interviews seemed to be checking if you would fit into their company culture as much as if you would do well in the management trainee role. Most of the questions asked seemed to be best answered with work experience. Any leadership role will help you through this interview process. The people I met from Briggs all seemed to be genuine good people. The process was fun. I'm waiting to hear back about the job.
