Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bridgenext.
Software Engineer
I had a really smooth and good interview with the company. The whole thing was organized, clear, and on time. The people interviewing me were professional and made me feel relaxed. Big thanks to the HR people — they were super helpful, nice, and always there to tell me what was happening and help me out. They talked clearly and regularly, which made it not stressful at all.
- Can you discuss your past projects and what you worked on?
Software Engineer
The interview had 2 technical rounds and then 1 HR round. The first technical round involved a coding question and questions about your resume. If you passed that, you'd get an email for the second round, which had a difficult coding question. Passing the second round led to the HR round.
- Tell me about the coding question that was asked.
- Can you discuss the questions related to your project?
- What were the difficult coding questions you faced?
Software Engineer
Worst interview process ever. The hiring manager was super unclear about everything, like what tech I'd need for the coding test, and didn't answer emails. Hiding info is dumb and makes for a bad candidate experience. The interviews were also run really badly; the interviewer was super late and admitted they barely looked at my resume. They asked weird questions, like saying specific tech doesn't matter then asking for differences between frameworks. The live coding was super easy, almost pointless. The interviewer also said they didn't even know what the role or experience level was for, which is just weird and shows they didn't care.
- Can you provide a function to flatten an array?
- Write a function that counts duplicate items in an array.
- What are the specific differences between certain frontend frameworks, for example, react vs other frontend frameworks?
