First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brex.
Operations Analyst
This is for the operations analyst rotational program. The process starts with a screening interview, then a staff interview, followed by a department manager interview, and finally a case study. The first step is a 30-minute phone call with a recruiter. It's not super technical, mostly about personality and values. They want to know if you share and demonstrate the founder mindset and if you live by Brex values in your experiences. If you do, try to weave that into your answers.
- Tell me about yourself and your background.
- Can you explain what Brex does and its significance?
- Could you provide an instance where you've utilized AI tools in your professional or academic life?
Business Operations Analyst
The recruiting process itself was pretty good, the HR person I talked to was professional and made communication easy. The interview with the hiring manager, though, was a bit strange. She spent most of the time talking about the previous person in the role and how great they were, rather than discussing the actual job responsibilities and what they're looking for in a new hire.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
Operations Analyst
In total there were 5 interviews plus a case study. The first interview was with HR, the second with the hiring manager, followed by 3 interviews with people working at Brex in the Operations area. The final interview was the presentation of the case study.
- Why are you interested in Brex?
- Can you share an experience where you motivated someone to provide exceptional customer service?
