Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brex.
Account Executive
It was pretty straightforward and professional. There were a few steps in the whole interview process, which is pretty standard for AE roles. I didn't get much more info since I didn't get past the hiring manager though!
- In what ways do you generate urgency?
- What's your strategy for dealing with deals that involve multiple stakeholders?
- Tell me what you know about Brex.
Account Executive
I went through a recruiter screen, then a hiring manager screen, followed by a virtual on-site that included a 3-person panel and a demo. Unfortunately, I didn't get the offer. They did say I could interview for another role, but I'd have to start the whole process over, even after spending more than 4 hours on interviews and prep for this one. All the interviewers were white males. The recruiter was nice though!
- Be ready for standard sales inquiries.
- Get ready for the demo.
- Be extra prepared for the demo.
Account Executive
I applied online, which was quick. Got an email confirming my application. Someone contacted me in a couple of days to set up an interview. I talked to someone from talent, then the hiring manager. We chatted for 30 mins about my background, and then I met with 4 other Brex folks for separate 30 min interviews. After that, I spoke with the CSO and got an offer the next day. The whole thing took about a week.
- Can you describe your typical daily responsibilities at your current job?
- What motivates you to seek a new opportunity outside of your present company?
