Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Breakthrough Collaborative.
Teacher
It was a good interview experience. I don't recall the interviewer's name, but she was quite pleasant. The questions were straightforward and situational, focusing on hypothetical leadership and teamwork scenarios.
- Can you give an example of what makes you a good problem-solver?
Teacher
It was a great interview experience! After submitting my application, I was invited to participate in both a group interview and an individual interview. Both of these took place at a school. The group interview part was actually pretty fun and not super formal.
- What is your motivation for teaching at Breakthrough?
Teacher
The interview was pretty conversational, and it was easier for me to talk because I'm from Miami. We discussed culture, my interest in Breakthrough, and my reasons for wanting to be a teacher. The interview was about forty minutes long and conducted over Skype. My interviewer made it easy to chat, and at times it felt more like a conversation than an interview. I liked that it was stress-free, or as stress-free as it could be.
- What are your motivations for wanting to join Breakthrough Miami?
