The interview process was quite long, starting with an initial call, then an online HackerRank test, and finally multiple assessment-style interview rounds. The interviewers were professional, but the experience could be better. I was tested on very academic details, like memorizing specific optimization formulas, instead of practical understanding and real-world application. This focus might suit entry-level or recent grads better, as experienced candidates usually focus more on problem-solving, system design, and applied decision-making. Also, more transparency and feedback would be helpful. Getting a generic rejection after several tough rounds makes it hard to know where I went wrong or how to improve. The role and team seem interesting, but aligning the expected seniority with the evaluation criteria and providing more constructive feedback would really improve the candidate experience.

I had a take-home assignment, then some live coding, and finally some interviews with the team. The interviewers were all very pleasant and approachable. The scheduling process was efficient, and they accommodated my availability.

It was a 3-round process. The first round was data engineering with 3 coding problems to solve in 45 mins. The second round was a statistical theory interview that included some machine learning theory questions. I didn't make it to the third round. I messed up the first round and then before my third round they just removed the invitation from my calendar without any email or letting me know they were cancelling it. They emailed me the next day saying they decided not to move forward. Really bad experience.
