First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Braze.
Customer Success Manager
The interview process was drawn out, time consuming and overly complex. They say you don't need to do much research, but then ask questions expecting significant knowledge. They don't focus on assessing intelligence, empathy, or learning ability; they just want someone who already has industry experience for a quick win.

- Walk through the brand's core business model and highlight related KPIs for marketing success and goal alignment (5 min).
- Provide a high-level overview of Braze, its core features, and purpose for the client (5 min).
Customer Success Manager
The entire process took about a month and a half because we had to reschedule. After I applied, the recruiter reached out within a week to set up the first call. They were nice and explained everything. The only weird part was the first call was with someone in the US time zone even though the job is in Europe. Then I had a chat with the hiring Manager for Customer Success. It was a chill conversation about my background and the company. Next up was a panel interview where I had to do a roleplay, pretending to pitch to clients based on a brief. The panel had a senior team member, the CS Manager, and the Director. They asked me about my experience during the roleplay too. It was tricky when they asked about their specific platform. I heard back with feedback about two weeks later. It was a no, but they gave detailed reasons, showing they paid attention. They basically said they wanted someone with more experience with data ingestion and a better grasp of the Braze platform. Honestly, the data part is fair, but knowing Braze that well usually comes from working with it daily.

Customer Success Manager
I applied online and heard back pretty quickly, finishing the whole thing in under two weeks. The interviews were at Braze. It was a really great experience overall. First, I talked to the hiring manager, who was super positive and seemed to really care about building a good team culture. Then, another team member asked more detailed questions. The last part was a challenging project presented to a panel, all about the company's products. I felt this project was a fair way for both me and the company to see if it was a good match. I got the offer just two days after the final round. Everyone, including the hiring manager and HR, was always helpful and quick to respond. It was a really positive process that made me want to join the company.
- I was given a project related to the company's products.
