I had a phone screen with a recruiter first. Then, I had a virtual interview with the Department head. It took about a month to hear back after I reached out. Then the recruiter wanted to set up an in person interview with the team. I did 2 more interviews, but then didn't hear back for another month. When I reached out, they apologized and said the team went in another direction.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process began smoothly with a 30-minute phone call from the campus recruiter after they looked at my application from Indeed. We then scheduled an in-person interview, which is where things became extremely unprofessional. My interview was set for 2 PM. I arrived at 1:45 PM and saw another candidate who also had a 2 PM interview slot, which I found strange given there was only one recruiter. The other candidate went with the recruiter immediately upon arrival, and the receptionist asked me to wait. After about ten minutes, my interview started. The people interviewing me were completely unprepared and I never met with the recruiter. Instead, I was interviewed by an estimator who seemed unsure of what to discuss. Each employee I spoke with demonstrated the company's inconsistency; some praised the work-life balance while others mentioned consistently staying late, creating confusion about the reality. Upon finishing, I was simply told, "that’s it you’re good to go," with no information provided about the next steps. Overall, the experience was highly unprofessional, disappointing, and a significant waste of my time.

Behavioral Other

It was a quick and thorough interview process. They were mostly interested in my past experience and what I hope to achieve in the future. The hiring manager also brought in a colleague I would be working with, to help me get a sense of the company culture. Overall, I got good information and had a great interview.
