I applied for a different position online, and an HR contact reached out saying they thought this Scientist II role would be a perfect fit for me. After a phone screen discussing the role, I had an hour and a half interview with the manager and a couple of department members. The whole process was seamless, and they used the STAR method during the interview.

I applied online. Had a recruiter call to discuss my background. The recruiter called back the following week to schedule an in-person interview. The in-person interview involved 3-4 sessions with 2 interviewers each. My experience left me with a poor impression of the company, consistent with online reviews. All interviewers were late and seemed disengaged, either leaving early or mid-sentence. Some interviewers were disinterested and seemed drained, while others were slightly aggressive but engaged. It was hard to imagine how they all worked together given their different personalities, suggesting the company doesn't hire for culture fit. Companies usually try to showcase their benefits and culture, but this company did not.

The process was very comfortable and welcoming. After an initial phone screen, I was scheduled for an on-site interview. An offer was extended the next day. The location was great, next to many restaurants and bars in Kendall Square, but I was extended a better offer in Ohio.
