It's exhausting trying to get hired here. I had two interviews for two different roles in the last six months. After an in-person interview in July 2018, I heard nothing back for six weeks, so I figured I didn't get it. Then I had a phone interview in December, and HR called a week later to schedule an in-person interview. I missed the call and called back right away, but it took until January to actually talk to the HR person because I only had her number. My in-person interview then became a phone interview. I haven't heard anything since January 8th. For a fast-growing company, ghosting candidates is bad business. I want a new job, but I might not apply here again if this is how they treat people.

After initially extending the on-site interview, email communication became inconsistent. I was asked to prepare a presentation but received no guidance on its length despite multiple emails. I requested the official job description because it didn't perfectly match the website, but it was never sent. Even though I gave a presentation, the conversation was mostly informal and seemed to focus more on personality than scientific aspects. It was good that people from various levels participated in the group interview. As I applied for a lab position, I wasn't shown the lab at all. I asked the HR representative again for the official description at the end of the interview and was assured I'd receive it, but I never did. I was repeatedly told I'd be contacted, but then wasn't. Many red flags.

I put in applications for a bunch of different jobs on the internet. Brammer Bio reached out months later after my fourth application for a general screening. Shortly after, I got an email inviting me to interview. I said yes and got a schedule. It had ten names in four groups over two hours. They mostly care about your personality. Everyone interviewing is from a different department and they see who would fit best. It's a really chill and fun time, and you'll at least enjoy that part.

I applied online and got an onsite interview invite about a week later. No HR or hiring manager phone screen, which was odd. The interview was half a day, set up like speed dating with other candidates for different roles. I was asked about the job, the industry, etc. Everyone I spoke with seemed unsure about the next steps and mentioned being super busy. I ended up waiting quite a bit between chats. It was pretty disorganized, and I never heard back afterwards or got any follow-up.
