First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brainlab.
Clinical Specialist
It was a pretty fast process, going from a phone screen to an offer in about a month. I had an HR video interview, then two 30-minute phone calls, and finished with a panel interview. Everyone was really easy to talk to, and the whole interview felt conversational. It's definitely helpful to know about their products.
- Can you explain what Image Guided Surgery is and describe its functionality.
Clinical Specialist
HR emailed me a couple of months after I applied online. We had a thirty minute phone interview and she said should would reach out about moving forward in a week. She also said she would have someone else on the team talk to me. So I did a second phone interview with someone (~15min). Later the same week, HR reached out and said she wants to schedule a phone interview with the regional director. So I did another 30min phone. It has been three weeks pass the time HR said she would get back to me and I have sent three follow up emails. Have not heard back yet.

- What makes you interested in this position?
Clinical Specialist
So I actually interviewed for this position in two different locations and got the second one. The interview process was a little different for each. First, I talked to the Regional Support Manager, who is also the hiring manager. If they liked me, they referred me to an interview with at least one other person, the Senior Application Consultant for my region. In one instance, I also had to interview with the Area Account Manager for the region. All these initial interviews were over the phone, maybe because of COVID, maybe not. If those went well, the final step was a video interview (on Microsoft Teams) with the Regional Support Manager again. After that, if everything went well, you might have to wait a bit for the hospital to finalize and send back the paperwork. Once that's done, you get an offer letter and other stuff. My advice? Technical skills can be learned if you have the right education, but soft skills like communication and being personable are really important for this role, so make sure to highlight those.
