First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BRAC.
HR Manager
Got a chance to interview for the Deputy Manager-HR role. They had a written test which was good and showed what I can do. But the interview itself wasn't very clear. Instead of learning about the job, what they expect, or how BRAC's HR team is set up, we spent most of the time talking about my current company's HR policies and structure. I was hoping to get more info on BRAC's work vibe, how the team works together, and what they need for this role, so I could see if I'm a good fit. Thanks for letting me talk to your team, hope this helps make things better for other candidates.
- What are your strategies for improving the gender ratio?
Associate
The most inconsiderate interview process I have ever experienced. They asked for my references, spoke to them (4!), and then told me they reviewed the job description and again (after contacting my references!!) and wanted to continue interviewing someone who met the requirements of the description more. Why didn't they do this before taking me through all the interview rounds and making me bother my references? No idea.
- Can you tell me about your experience with budgeting?
Senior Officer
Scheduling was quick, about 2 weeks. They ask a lot of technical questions but cut you off before you can finish. They'll ask you to explain and elaborate on concepts then interrupt you. The panel kept cutting me off. They asked me to turn on my video, but they didn't have theirs on the whole time, not even when introducing themselves. The questions about my work experience were harder than the technical ones. What was funny was that after asking a question, they just moved to the next one. The panel seemed rushed and kept saying they had other applicants. Like, why schedule me at this time just to make me feel like you'd rather be elsewhere?
- What Oracle tools do you use?
Trainer
The interview will be a quick and effective session focused on budgeting, financial topics, and digital skills, led by a polite and clear panel. The aim is to quickly and effectively understand the candidate's abilities and background. The panel will ask specific questions about handling project finances, making sure financial rules are followed, changing budgets when unexpected costs come up, and using resources wisely. They will also look into how good you are with money software and tools, how you keep up with digital changes, your experience putting new digital ways of working into practice, and how you keep data safe. The panel will be friendly, clear, and respectful throughout, making the process informative and short.
- How knowledgeable are you regarding the integration of digital and financial concepts?
