Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Program Coordinator
It was a behavioral interview with a panel of 3 people. The interview lasted a bit over an hour. Some questions were a little repetitive. A couple of times the panel member would say, "you kind of answered this but feel free to give another example."
- Can you share an instance where a decision you made angered others and how you managed that situation?
Coordinator
The interview was done via video call with the current Lead and Club Manager. It felt personal but also professional, and they talked about expectations and what inputs could make the current role better.
- What kind of program would you propose to boost student involvement in the club?
Project Coordinator
I had an initial phone interview and then a zoom interview two weeks later. They ghosted me after the zoom interview. I emailed to follow up a week later and they never responded. Not a good look
- Can you recall an instance where you had to perform a repetitive task and describe your feelings about it?
