Applied online and a recruiter reached out soon after. First was a 30 min recruiter screening call, then a 30 min hiring manager call. After that, I had a 30 min 1:1 with the sales manager, followed by a 30 min 1:1 with the VP of Solutions Consulting. Then, a 30 min 1:1 with the regional director of Box Consulting, and a 30 min 1:1 with a Solutions Consultant. The final stage was a 45 min panel presentation where I had to pitch Box Consulting services to everyone I'd spoken to previously, plus the area VP of sales. The recruiting team was super helpful, giving lots of prep advice and even a candidate guide and a detailed overview for the panel presentation. The calls were pretty laid back and conversational. The whole thing from the first call to the offer took about three weeks.

This whole thing took about a month. It started with a recruiter chat. Then I had a call with a manager. After that, it was back-to-back interviews with three people from the consulting team. Then I had to give a mock demo. They gave me the decision before I spoke with the regional director. It was pretty simple and they were really clear about how things would go. Everyone at Box was super nice and willing to answer questions. They did a good job of showing what the culture is like there, and I think the interview process is good at finding people who would fit in.

The interview process involved a phone interview first, then an in-person interview. The on-site interview includes a presentation that they give you beforehand. You're supposed to pretend you're a consultant at Box, but it's really a hit or miss and not like the real world. It might be a good exercise for a college grad, but it's unrealistic and takes up a lot of time for no reason if you're already a full-time employee. They throw curveballs during the presentation, which was kinda funny since it had nothing to do with anything. Your whole interview hinges on this presentation, and they expect you to make slides and do research in your own time. I was working before consulting then and wasn't going to spend hours after work on it.
