First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Box.
Business Systems Analyst
I applied online and then a recruiter called me. They set me up for a first round screening, which was mostly about introductions and my background. After that, I was supposed to have a second round with the hiring manager, but I turned it down because the compensation wasn't what I was looking for. The recruiter was really professional and always responded quickly.
- Can you walk me through your past work experience?
- What are you looking to make in salary for this position?
Business Systems Analyst
So, I had three rounds for this role, which were a mix of 1:1s and small panels. The second and third rounds were back-to-back on the same Zoom link. The first round was with the Recruiter and Hiring Manager, the second with peers and people from related teams, and the third with leadership. It felt like we were both checking each other out, and it was pretty chill and friendly. I got a referral which helped start things. It took about 4 weeks from applying to getting the offer, and the interviews happened over about 2 weeks. They were really good about scheduling and letting me know how things went.
- Can you share an instance where you made a positive difference on a project that was facing difficulties? What was your specific contribution?
Business Analyst
I was contacted via email to set up an interview after not getting into the marketing department. We scheduled a phone interview, but the interviewer was 10 minutes late. He seemed a bit disorganized and talked about himself a lot. He asked me why I wanted to join the company and about my relevant experience.
- Were you asked brain teasers over the phone?
