Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bowman.
Engineer
The interview process was okay, pretty simple. It was a bit frustrating that they interviewed me after knowing my salary expectations. Although they wanted to hire me afterward, they informed me that my expected salary was 25-30% too high, making it a waste of time.
- What kind of projects have you worked on?
- Let's discuss some technical topics.
Engineer
It was 3 panel interviews, and they asked really broad questions. They were looking for technical expertise, but with my lack of experience, it was hard. The people were nice though.
- Can you describe your leadership qualities?
- What do you think makes you unique or special?
- How do you demonstrate leadership abilities?
Engineer
I met Clif Dayton at the Civil Engineering Career Fair at Virginia Tech. I spoke with some employees there and they set me up with an in-person interview with Clif. He was very upfront about what he expected from me and what I could expect from the role. After spending the summer working for him in Denver, I can confirm it was everything I anticipated and more.
- What makes you believe you'd be a good fit for our office?
