The process was quick and easy to follow. The manager was nice and gave information about the company background. They like in-person interviews where the interviewer asks a series of questions to assess your skills, experience, and personality, comparing your qualifications to the job description.

There were two rounds for this position. The first was with HR, and the second was with the hiring manager and a panel that included the director of operations and the marketing manager. The whole hiring process is expected to take about 2 to 3 weeks.

I was contacted for a recruiter interview which was scheduled for the following week. The initial call went well, and I was told an interview would be scheduled soon. However, it took three weeks and several follow-ups to actually get the interview booked. The Hiring Manager didn't show up for the interview, even though it was planned two weeks prior. Instead, a Senior Executive joined the call. He seemed uninterested in conducting the interview and just read the three questions the Hiring Manager had provided. He didn't allow time for answers or discussion and seemed focused on finishing the interview quickly, not on my responses. I followed up with the recruiter and Hiring Manager via email offering my availability for the next few days, but received no response.

I submitted my resume and it had all the skills, experience, and education for the job. I got an auto-response and then an email saying they weren't moving forward because they wanted someone who was a closer match. I figure it was because I was overqualified or my salary expectations were too high. It's a red flag when they ask for your salary expectations upfront before telling you their range, probably to find people for cheaper. I checked Glassdoor and their salaries are below average for the area for the skills, education, and experience needed.
