Interview included a screening call with the hiring manager, followed by three panel interviews. After the panels, there was a debrief with the hiring manager. Some interviewers repeated questions that had already been answered. The interviewer mentioned diversity and inclusion at the company, but the recruiting team seems to be mostly white women, which is questionable for diversity and inclusion. The process concluded with a background check.

I went through 4 interviews in total within 10 days. First, I spoke with an in-house recruiter, then the hiring manager. After that, I met with the executive I would be supporting. Finally, we had a 45-minute presentation to discuss specific questions about the administrative functioning of the job and my plans for team leadership. I got the offer the next day, and accepted the day after that! This was the best interview process I've experienced recently; they were caring, attentive, communicative, and genuinely wanted to build a relationship.

After an initial outreach following my application, the interview process spanned a little over a month. It felt pretty laid-back and genuine, reflecting a great company culture. It kicked off with preliminary screenings by HR and the hiring manager. Then, there were about 4-5 interdisciplinary interviews with future teammates. After that, Bowery presented a project exercise for me to work on and present to a panel, to assess my problem-solving approach. Scheduling, interviewing, and completing the project took a good amount of time, but it was really worth it in the end! I found the process thorough and intensive, even though it was casual, which I think helps maintain the company culture and values, and ensures everyone performs at a high level. That's why I'd rate the experience as 'difficult'.

Got referred by an employee after a chat about the company and role. After they got my info, the interview process was pretty straightforward: first a recruiter call, then a phone screen with the hiring manager, and finally a full day of in-person interviews at one of their farms. The interviews really dug into my past experiences and how and why I made certain decisions to solve problems. Questions weren't super technical, focusing more on problem-solving to understand how I work and if I'd be a good fit. I got a walking tour of the farm and even tried some produce, which was cool! Seeing the farm helped me picture my role and responsibilities. Everyone I talked to was enthusiastic, welcoming, and helpful, and it seemed like they really enjoyed working for Bowery. This made me feel more motivated. After the in-person interviews, I was tired but excited about joining. The recruiter was super helpful, always giving detailed info and next steps, making the company seem organized and like I mattered. The recruiter's professionalism was much appreciated. Overall, it was one of the most streamlined interview processes I've been through.
