It was a quick process, I got the job. The manager was really funny. They told me about the job, which involves switching between serving, cashier, and drive-thru roles often. The drive-thru needs to be fast-paced. The customers are mainly older people who can sometimes be quite rude and snappy. The pay was also very low.

I applied online via snagajob and got a call for an interview a week later. The interview was with a manager who was upfront about needing a social and outgoing person to start conversations and smile, as Boston Market was changing its policy. Instead of training current staff, he preferred to hire someone friendly. Upon arrival, I saw his point; the existing servers were shy and mostly just served food with minimal eye contact. He asked if I could do the outgoing tasks and to be honest so we wouldn't waste each other's time. I admitted I'm quiet and reserved, which he confirmed as I was quieter than him. He asked 'Tell me about yourself' and I answered truthfully. This is a good job if you're outgoing, but not for someone like me who's quiet.

I applied online and had to take this crazy long quiz with like 60 questions on math and grammar that I only had ten minutes for and didn't even finish. A few days later the manager called and we set up an interview. It was about 35 minutes long. He started asking me about my extracurriculars since I'm going to be a senior in high school. I think I talked too much because he asked if I was sure I had time to work, and I said I quit most of it. Then he asked if I'd ever been inside a Boston Market, and I weirdly said no, but I'd had their food. He asked what their top seller was, and I didn't know (it's chicken). We looked over the menu, and then he asked what I'd expect from him as an employer and what he should expect from me. I didn't nail the first one but got the second one right. He then went over the hours and the job duties. Finally, he talked about the uniform and where to buy it. He offered me the job right there but gave me a day to decide. I turned it down because it wasn't my top choice and I had other interviews.
