Graduate Assistant
Applied, and then heard back about a month later about interviewing! Met with the interviewer over Zoom. It was scheduled for 30 minutes but only took 15. A lot of it was basic questions and asking about experience. Was told they're still accepting applications and interviewing, and that I'd hear back in a couple weeks. The next day I was reached out to interview again! Again done over Zoom, and was a lot more like a conversation. It was really easy, and again a lot of the questions were just about experience or behavioral. Was told again that they're still interviewing and that I'll hear back in a couple weeks. Got the offer the next day.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What kind of research experience do you have?
- Do you have graphic design experience?
Graduate Student
There was one video essay question about 'why BC?'. You had 60 seconds to prep and 120 minutes to answer, with two tries. It wasn't too hard, they just wanted to know more about you.

Graduate Assistant
It was a pretty chill process, the person interviewing me was nice and we talked about how my past experience would work for the job I was looking at and then they told me about the position. We also chatted about the hours and my future career goals. It felt more like a chat than a real interview, which was cool 'cause I got to ask everything I wanted to. We did dig into my certifications and how they'd be useful here.
- Can you explain how your previous experience aligns with the requirements of this position?
- What are your aspirations for the future?
- In what ways are your certifications relevant to this role?
