First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bosley.
Marketing Director
Had an initial screening call over zoom where they asked 3-5 questions about my qualifications and past experience. Then, I had a second interview with the SVP a few days later. The third interview was with the Director of Marketing Technology the following week, and the final interview was with the CEO two weeks after that, depending on their availability. The questions after the screening were mostly about my experience and interest in the role. The Director of Marketing Technology specifically tested my knowledge of digital marketing. I didn't hear anything after meeting with the CEO, and there was no follow-up on my candidacy status even though I followed up two weeks after my final interview. I expected better communication considering the time I committed to each interview (about an hour each).
- Describe a situation where a colleague or team member proposed an idea or suggestion that conflicted with yours, and explain how you handled that interaction.
Senior Counselor
I had three video interviews: first with the Regional SC Manager, second with the Regional SC Manager of Beverly Hills, and third with the Director of Senior Counselors. Overall, it was a really great experience and I enjoyed talking to everyone that I met. My only criticism is that I was one of the two finalists being considered for the position and had to wait over three weeks to find out about whether I would be offered the job after I was done going through the loop. Supposedly, this was because the other finalist could not find time to come meet the team. You never know what is going on in someone's life or why they are unable to prioritize the job interview, but continuous stringing-along was stressful and little unprofessional, especially if they knew they were not going to end up offering me the job since the team does not really make the decision. Other than that, the interviews were pleasant and everyone was very friendly and seemed interested in interviewing me.
- Can you share some of your past experiences?
- What would you say if a client said xyz?
Sales Consultant
I passed all the phone interview stages easily. I spoke with 3 managers over the phone, and they were all really impressed with my background, experience, and DISC results. The last step was supposed to be a face-to-face interview with one of the managers I'd already spoken to. The recruiter even had my new hire paperwork ready because they told her I was a great fit. Apparently, they were expecting someone lighter skinned. When I arrived, the interviewer seemed visibly uncomfortable and struggled through the interview. Later, the recruiter told me I didn't get the job because they needed someone who spoke Spanish, which nobody asked me about at any point during the month-long process. They just assumed I didn't speak Spanish because of how I look. I know for sure their hiring decisions weren't based on qualifications.
- Can you tell me about your sales experience?
Office Manager
I applied for the position online. A recruiter contacted me the next day and scheduled a SKYPE interview with a Regional Supervisor. I also got a detailed info packet with an application. After the SKYPE interview, the interviewer gave me her work email, which was helpful for staying in touch. Then, I had a phone interview with another Regional Supervisor. Finally, I had an in-person interview with the Director of Operations, which included a couple of tests, like a personality test. The whole thing took a few weeks, and then I got hired!
- How would you handle a difficult doctor?
