First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Boscov's.
Cashier
It was a hiring event with open interviews. I attended in person with my resume and spoke with HR. She was really nice and informed me about the available roles.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
- Are you looking for full-time or part-time employment?
Sales Associate
It was a very straightforward and friendly management team. I felt very comfortable and they were very clear on the expectations of the job. I got the sense that a lot of the staff has been there for a very long time and that’s a great sign. I am actually looking forward to begin work.
- What is your comfort level with opening credit card accounts?
Assembly Line Worker
the application and hiring process was easy enough, the managers and hiring team were nice and respectful, though some of the existing employees were not. but hey, it's a job.
- Can you tell me about your availability?
- What relevant experience do you have?
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
Maintenance Technician
I applied for the Building Maintenance position as a disabled vet. I had an interview where they told me what was expected. They then scheduled me for another day to fill out new hire paperwork, which gave me the false hope of being hired. I had to complete a background check. I got papers confirming the check was done. I called HR to be polite and see if I could answer any questions, but I could only leave a message. I left one but never got a call back, and I still don't know if I got the job. If this is how they treat disabled vets looking for work, I can only imagine what it would be like if I were hired.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
