Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Born Group.
Java Developer
I was interviewed for a Java Developer role. The process included a 60-minute written test covering core and advanced Java concepts, followed by a technical interview, and then an HR round. They asked questions touching on almost all essential aspects of Java.
- Can you explain all the basic concepts of Java?
- Tell me about OOP concepts?
- What are repository-based questions about?
Senior Java Developer
The interview process at Born Group was very good, with a supportive interviewer and a polite HR person. Born Group is a good e-commerce organization, but they merged with Tech Mahindra last year.
- Can you explain collection exception handling?
- What's the difference between String, StringBuffer, and StringBuilder?
- Tell me about Java 8 features.
Java Developer
They asked mostly about my final year project, and also about personal info and extra curriculars. Then they asked about my role in the last year project and what I actually did for that part.
- Can you explain the difference between a class and an object?
- Which technologies are you professional at?
