First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BorgWarner.
HR Administrator
It was a pretty professional but surface-level interview, with standard, generic questions that you'd expect for an entry-level role. Nothing too unusual, mostly just personality questions and stuff like that.
- Tell me about your hobbies or what you do outside of work.
Human Resources Generalist
It's about 4 interviews total: a phone screening, a Microsoft Teams interview, an onsite interview, and an HR interview, then they'll extend an offer if it works out. The process is pretty simple, but the timing can change depending on the time of year. Some jobs move through the interview process fast, others take longer.
- Tell me about your experience.
- How do you handle working in a fast-paced environment?
- What do you know about our company?
Human Resources Assistant
I was contacted by an intern who had really bad grammar in his emails and took forever to reply. It was surprisingly unprofessional. We scheduled a phone interview, and when the time came, I waited by my phone for 30 minutes. I emailed him to see if we should reschedule. He replied the next day saying he got a flat tire, which is fine, so we rescheduled. He called me 40 minutes after our new scheduled time and was unprofessional. He said he'd contact me to set up an in-person interview. I followed up, and again, he didn't respond. The whole thing was a waste of my time and super frustrating.
- How is your past experience relevant to this role?
