Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Booz & Company.
Intern
The interview process involved two 1:1 45-minute interviews, one with an associate and another with a principal. Both interviews included case studies. The first case was a market sizing question, and the second was an abstract business operations case. There were also general fit questions and a discussion about CV experiences. This was the first round. The second round followed the same format but with two senior company employees. Overall, it was an interesting and enjoyable experience as the interviewers were very nice, but it was challenging.
- Can you estimate the size of the champagne market in Moscow?
- Describe how you would approach an abstract business operations case.
- Tell me about your past experiences listed on your CV.
Consultant Intern
Applied for Booz's DBT practice using on-campus recruiting. The application process started before the end of the fall semester. I got an interview notification a few weeks later and interviewed during the first week of the new spring semester. There were 2 back-to-back 30-minute interviews. The process was smooth with friendly interviewers. The case was straightforward and computations were easy.
- What impacts do you foresee from our recent acquisition, and what strategies would you propose for organizational management?
- Considering our recent acquisition, what potential effects do you anticipate, and how would you approach our organizational management?
- What are your thoughts on the potential effects of our recent acquisition, and how should we manage our organization?
Intern
The interview process was great. For the Dubai office, it's fully American style. For interns, there are 2 rounds, and each round has 2 interviews. The first three interviewers were principals, and the last one was a partner. The process is pretty standard: about 10-15 minutes for fit questions, and the rest is a case study. The case studies are very quantitative and might include brain teasers. This company is awesome!
- Could you calculate the intersection volume of two cylinders with the same diameter that intersect at their axes?
