Customer Assistant
It was a really bad interview experience. You don't even apply with a CV, just an online test. My CV shows my strong experience, but they didn't use it. I expected standard interview questions but didn't get them. They said to know a product for the shop floor, but we never went there. The interview was quick, and I tried to talk about my experience even though there wasn't much space. They asked 3 or 4 tough, poorly worded questions, like "name a time" ones, but not the usual ones. The interviewer was late and didn't seem interested, like they'd already decided. I got another job in a much better place later, so it worked out.
- Tell me about a situation where you altered a process or procedure to help someone else and what happened as a result.
Customer Assistant
The interview was super fast, only about 30 mins. It was a group interview with me and three other people. First, we had to choose a product from the Christmas section we thought would sell well. Then, we showed it to the manager and put it back on the shelf. The manager then asked if we had any ideas to make the shelf display better. After that, we went to the office and each got asked one customer service question and some general questions about things like availability. Not sure if I got the job yet, but I'm posting this now.
- How would you go the extra mile for a customer?
Customer Assistant
Pretty straightforward process. First, you apply online. Then, you do a behavioral assessment and a personality test. Finally, there's a 15-minute face-to-face interview. Make sure to take the assessment seriously. Answer it from the perspective of a customer assistant, choosing the least and most likely responses.
- Can you tell us why you're interested in working for Boots?
- How would you handle a situation where your team's morale is low?
- Imagine you have only 10 minutes to close the shop. What steps would you take to tidy the shop floor?
