First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Booster Enterprises.
Program Leader
The interview process started with a phone call with a hiring staff or recruiter. After that, there was an initial interview, followed by a second interview where I had to make a presentation. Finally, there was a follow-up Zoom call.
- How comfortable are you with public speaking?
Program Leader
It wasn't the best interview experience. The Area Director and Program Director asked a lot about my past work at a Christian camp from years ago, which felt a bit uncomfortable given I'm not religious anymore and was told this wasn't a religious organization. I probably should have declined the job offer for only $25k/year for a full-time role.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
- What are your thoughts on this random topic? Let's debate it.
Program Leader
It was a pretty standard interview process, though there were a couple of strange questions. I had two interviews: the first was with an HR person, and the second was with the Regional Area Director and the Program Director for the area I was applying to. They mostly focused on my leadership experience and how I've handled high-stress situations. We did a mock sales scenario where I had to pick a topic and convince them why it was important. I also went through a few different scenario-based questions. The interview itself was fine, but the interviewer asked if I was Christian based on my work history. They then followed up by saying many people at the company are Christian and could help me find a church. I found that question really out of line and inappropriate, but I didn't dwell on it and steered the conversation back. All in all, it was an average interview.
- Were you able to take a project and run with it without much supervision or training?
